KIGALI, Rwanda, October 27, 2026 — A Chinese-language television programme aimed at strengthening cultural ties between China and Africa has concluded its third season after 40 consecutive weeks of broadcasting.
The programme, Hello Chinese S3, was jointly produced by China’s Center for Language Education and Cooperation and StarTimes. It combined Mandarin lessons with stories highlighting cultural exchanges between Chinese and African communities.
The initiative seeks to make Chinese-language learning more accessible to African audiences while creating opportunities for educational and professional engagement with China.
The programme also reflects broader efforts to strengthen people-to-people relations alongside existing economic and diplomatic cooperation between China and African countries.
As engagement between the two regions continues to expand, initiatives such as this highlight the growing role of language education and cultural exchange in building international relationships.
